In Our Community: Lewie Briggs’ Bike Tour

The words of Jesus speak often about us caring for the needs of others, speaking up for many who cannot speak for themselves. In fact, Proverbs 31:8 encourages us to

Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed.

And so that’s what Lewie Briggs and a group of friends are trying to do. Lewie is a part of the Saturate Community and from May 20th-July 2nd, he and a team of volunteers are biking from Daytona Beach, Florida to Portland, Maine to raise awareness and financial support for “She’s My Sister”, an initiative that responds to vicious acts of war that have left women broken and children orphaned in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Lewie and the team will be joining us next Tuesday for Saturate as part of their tour while they stop in Lancaster and will be sharing a little of what they’re hoping to accomplish through their tour.

Please be praying for their team as they finish their trek to Maine!

Who is Saturate – Meet Judy Glanc

No doubt, the Saturate Community is made up of many tremendous people, each uniquely gifted and wired.  This past fall I have had the honor of getting to know Judy Glanc as a musician and as a leader.  Judy has an incredible spirit and a contagious, keen humor that brings joy to any situation.  More than anything though, Judy is wise…always there with a listening ear and a caring heart ready to offer her thoughts from a unique and challenging perspective.  Judy is just one of many leaders who are a part of  Saturate who are willing to selflessly share their gifts and talents.  As we kick off a new semester on Tuesday evening, I am excited to continue to be a part of a community that grows their skills while influencing the lives of those around them.

YOU are Saturate…A community that leads and influences.

Who is Saturate – Meet T.J. and Brooke Mousetis

As we continue getting to know some of the people from our Saturate Community, it’s my pleasure to introduce you to T.J. and Brooke Mousetis.  I met T.J. and Brooke about a year ago and was immediately inspired by their creative spirit.  I really sense that more and more creatives are gravitating towards and emerging from our community…and this gets me pretty stoked.  If you’re a creatively driven person, YOU are Saturate…and we won’t make your work fit our small box, but we’ll ask you how your gifting and passions can be applied so that our box is expanded.  So meet T.J. and Brooke…and we look forward to meeting YOU too!

From our post on Monday, we showed you a generic view of who makes up the Saturate Community. Here’s the first of three specific stories of people who are the Saturate Community. We’ve come to realize that the Saturate Community is as dynamic as the people who are apart of it, and we have some awesome, dynamic people!
